THE WILLIAMS BROTHERS
BIOGRAPHY

Warren Williams Jr started his professional career in music at the age of six. The youngest person ever to appear on Brian Henderson’s “BANDSTAND” he joins a list of Australian stars who started their life in entertainment on the show from a very young age including Johnny Farnham, Olivia Newton John, Helen Reddy, Peter Allen, and of course The Bee Gees.
Between the age of six and ten, Warren performed along with his father and as a solo performer, singing the hits of the time live to thousands of fans across Australia. He has fond memories of his days in the Channel 9 Sydney studios, mixing in the dressing rooms with the biggest stars of the day.
Throughout his childhood and teenage years he went on to appear on television commercials, provide the vocals to several well known jingles, and act in TV series and movies.
His love of Art saw him pursue a career as a High School Visual Arts Teacher until 1985 when he joined his father and brothers to form “The Warren Williams Family Show” successfully touring the country for the next decade as one of the most sought-after cabaret shows in Australia.
In 1994 he joined forces with younger brother Andrew to front the band “THE SHY GUYS” playing some of the biggest corporate events in the biggest concert venues.
As a duo, Warren and Andrew were recognised as the go to performers for their versatility and ability to perform to any audience. They held residencies at Sydney’s major entertainment venues, including a 15 year stint at The Star City Casino.
Their love of The Everly Bothers saw them introduce their “Everlys and Idols” show to club auditoriums and theatres playing to full houses of loyal Rock n Roll fans.
In 2018 they were joined by middle brother Darren to present their show “Brothers in Harmony” a collection of the greatest harmony songs by the best groups of all time. This was followed by “BANDSTAND - Australia vs America” in 2021, and “TWIST & SHOUT” a salute to Rock n Roll in 2022.

Darren Williams’ stage career began at the age of seven, winning several medals for singing at Sydney’s Opera House. Over the years, he’s earned numerous accolades, including AUSTRALIAN VARIETY ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR (The Peter Allen Award) and BEST MALE VOCAL PERFORMER at the MO Awards plus BEST MALE VOCALIST at the ACE (Australian Club Entertainment) Awards.

Drawing on a wealth of experience performing with his family and as a solo artist throughout Australia, Darren spent 10 years living in New York where he quickly established himself as one of the most loved performers on the US Concert and Cabaret scene. He earned rave reviews from publications including the New York Post and performed at iconic venues such as the Iridium Jazz Club on Broadway, as well as numerous Performing Arts Centres across the U.S.

Darren has also performed in concert halls throughout Europe, including The Cologne Philharmonics in Germany and has been commissioned by various corporations to perform in London, Africa, Asia, Dubai, New Zealand and Fiji.

He has also travelled the globe performing as a headline act for many of the world’s most prestigious cruise lines.

Although raised on Rock n’ Roll, Darren is equally at home singing the classics. Having studied under several respected vocal coaches in Sydney and New York, he has developed an extraordinary vocal range spanning well over four octaves, enabling him to sing across a wide variety of musical genres, from pop to opera.
He has also appeared in various musicals such as Gordon Frost’s international production of SOUTH PACIFIC and Rodgers & Hammerstein’s A GRAND NIGHT FOR SINGING.

Now back in Sydney, Darren’s most cherished performances remain with his two brothers Warren and Andrew, re-living where it all started - singing harmonies with each other as kids.

Andrew Williams' journey into the world of entertainment began at a young age, with his first foray into television commercials as a child. By 10 years old, he was the face of the Sunny Boy ice blocks campaign. Around this time, Andrew's passion for music was ignited. He would dress up as his favourite KISS band members, pretending to play guitar—whether it was a toy guitar or a makeshift wooden one crafted by his brother Warren. He mimed entire KISS concerts on vinyl and even recreated Gene Simmons' iconic blood-spitting stage act, using tomato sauce and sporting stage clothes and platform boots from the 1970s Australian band, Hush.
In his early teens, Andrew received his first guitar, sparking a lifelong love affair with the instrument. By high school, he was already forming his own bands, showcasing his musical talent.
At just 15, Andrew became a professional musician, performing across Australia and on cruise ships alongside his father. Soon after, he teamed up with his father and brothers to bring the "Warren Williams Family Show" to Australian audiences.
Andrew's musical journey continued to thrive, and in the mid-1990s, he and his brother Warren formed the multi-award-winning cover band The Shy Guys, which soon saw them became one of Australia's most sought-after cover bands, performing in a wide range of venues and corporate events.
In 2000, Andrew and Warren took their musical vision to new heights by creating Australia's first-ever tribute show to the legendary American rock ‘n’ roll icons, “Everly Brothers. Their Everlys and Idols Show” quickly became a smash hit, earning them widespread recognition as one of the most successful tribute acts in the country.
Over the years, Andrew has remained in high demand as a guitarist and continued to perform with THE SHY GUYS, as well as in solo performances, and duos and trios with his brothers.
Together, the Williams brothers have been honoured with multiple Mo Awards and ACE (Australian Club Entertainment) Awards year after year. They have won accolades in numerous categories, including Best Duo, Best Trio, Best Cover Band, Best Vocal Group, Best Tribute Show, and, most recently, Best Production Show for Twist & Shout – A Salute to Rock 'n' Roll.
Andrew continues to fuel his passion for music, especially rock 'n' roll, performing alongside his brothers Warren and Darren in an array of exciting shows, including “Twist & Shout – A Salute to Rock 'n' Roll”, “Brothers in Harmony”, “Everlys and Idols”, and “BANDSTAND - Australia vs America”.
With his wide range of music knowledge and perfect pitch, Andrew is also the musical director for all of the Williams Brothers’ shows.
